You do not need to be an established writer or poet to attend.
Gather
We start with refreshments and chatting in the kitchen, then gather in the front room to settle into couches and under blankets. We discuss the art of writing poetry on the spot for others.
Type
We move into the back studio and get to know the typewriters. We choose a machine, choose paper, find a partner, and we dive in — each person writes a poem for their partner in real time.
Read
We gather where we started and share about our experiences. Those who feel brave read out loud, never required but always appreciated. Your poem goes home with you.
